Your lesson about visualising myself at my ideal weight and having me  read my goals that twice a day made me think about it and became more respectful of myself.

What an achievement!  I just read your book, and just wanted to congratulate you on your candid account of feelings and how you openly shared your personal frustrations and overcome the obstacles to become YOU!  I found this book very easy to relate to and oh so familiar as you expressed the influence of relationships.
It was particularly interesting to learn how your dad has impacted your self image.
Well, well done, very thankful of the experience of learning from your experiences.

Just wanted to touch base and say THANK YOU so much for opening up a whole new way of life for me – AND my family! You have taught me so many things about exercise, excuses, how to remove barriers and how to achieve goals – but most importantly you have helped me realise that I CAN do this – that it’s NOT HARD! I am no longer dragging myself out of bed but bouncing out and actually looking forward to exercise and a healthier lifestyle! Feeling stuck and not getting the weight loss results I was after, I attended some mindset coaching with Alana, in the first week I lost 5 kilos, It was like something just clicked in me and it started to become easy.
Since then i have continued to implement the strategies I learnt from Alana's coaching sessions into my daily life and have lost another 8kg (13 in total). I have just ran my first 10km race that i never thought was possible. I encourage anyone who is looking how to get results in their life and what next steps to take to work with Alana with Mindset Coaching Sessions and her Programs.

Having know Alana for the past 12 years, I have watched her develop into a strong and mature (both mentally and spiritually) single mum of 2 adolescent boys.  She has passed through a number of relationships along her life's journey, gaining insight from each one.  She has also persued anumber of artistic avenues such as piano lessons, painting and bellydancing.  Physical fitness is paramount to her mental health and she is now comfortable within the person she has become and feels she is able to help others along their life's journey.

In 12 weeks I am 9 kg lighter and halfway there to my goal wt, with much gratitude to Alana's mindfulness program and coaching skills i now feel like i have " clicked " and created healthy habits and mindfulness which have empowered me to be a healthier and happier person . The greatest lesson has been to invest in myself first ! So i highly recommend Alana to help you reach your goals and get excited abt your life .

I was lucky enough to win a package with Alana for 12 steps. The result has been that I have lost 10 kilos and have changed my lifestyle. I first met Alana when she was working from a small personal training studio in Devonport as a therapeutic masseur. I'd go in for an hour's massage after a rigorous training session once a week on Tuesdays. What immediately struck me was her passion for her work and the care and advice she would impart each session. I'd always walk out knowing a little more about physiology and in particular the makeup of my own weary old body !

Its been over 6 years now since I first became Alanas' client, as I have followed her from that small room at the training studio, to her own business premises because I believe NOBODY could give me the same care and professionalism as her.
Subsequently I have become very good friends with Alana and really enjoy bouncing business ideas and strategies around as she plies her trade on me.
I saw how she struggled with her own weight issues during this time, and remember the day she decided enough was enough and she was getting serious about her lifestyle and wanted to become healthier. It was like time lapse photography as I saw her change her body shape, lose weight and become as motivated as anyone I'd ever seen.
