I’m a proud mum of two boys. I’ve been working as a well known Massage Therapist for many years. I have studied and achieved a Cert IV in Business and Small Business Management, also a certificate in Nutrition and Diet. I am also experienced in NLP technique, Universal Healing, Foot Reflexology, Bowen Therapy, Myopractic and Medicinal Herbal Remedies.
Always searching for the best ways to lose body fat and keep it off, I finally learned that its all about your subconscious mind, when I mastered this, it made losing weight so much easier than ever before. Because of my passion for health and well being, I decided to focus my attention to helping others to achieve their weight loss goals easily and effortlessly. I trained through the Inspired Spirit Coaching Academy and become a certified life coach. As long as I can remember, I’ve always been interested in health and nutrition. What should I eat? When should I eat? What is good? What is bad? It was like an obsession to find the truth about what and why we should eat certain foods.
As an emotional eater and addicted to sugar foods (so I thought), I have always battled with my weight. Even though I’m not a huge person I became 20kg over my ideal body weight. This left me feeling very disappointed in myself, and having many of the other emotional problems that come with being overweight. I knew all the right things to do, I had the education about food and exercise. So why did this happen to me? Obviously I hadn’t re-programmed my mind to change my way of thinking.
After losing the 20kg within a couple years, thinking I had worked it all out, 4 years later, I was devastated to have put more than half of it back on following a hip procedure to remove a bone spur. I was told I could not run again but had to keep my weight down. How was that going to happen not being allowed to do high impact exercise?
Well with some help and guidance from a coach to keep me on track with my goal setting, and some key strategies to change my mindset, I lost 16kilos, 70 cm from my body measurements and 13% body fat, without doing any high impact aerobic exercise. I ate the right foods at the right time and created breakthroughs in all areas of my life…I feel amazing!
From my own experience with weight loss, the key was not to attack the attachment that we have on certain foods but to embrace it. Our weight is more than a number on the scale. It is about our health, our self image, and the beliefs we have about ourselves.
It was much easier this time around, changing my mindset has made all the difference. How to change the mindset is the key to being your ideal body weight!
